Worrying is a chronic issue. According to the CDC, every year, over 34,000 people kill themselves each year. While, 376,000 people will self-inflict themselves and end up in a crowded emergency room. Although, there are statistics which places a certain group at higher risk than others the fact remains the same. For instance, women would not commit suicide as quickly as the men but they still do. Three-times of the female factor report the attempt while many keep it quite. There are several factors, such as: former suicide attempts, history of depression, mental illness, alcohol, drug abuse, violence, illness or loneliness.
“Worry is an emotional issue. It controls our decisions and actions. It affects when we sleep, work, how we interact and perform our activities of dialing living (ADL). A combination of past issues can overload our memory, thought and actions that we have little space for new things. The Price of Worry: Death was walking toward a city one morning and a man asked, “What are you going to do?” “I’m going to take 100 people,” Death replied. “That’s horrible!” the man said.
“That’s the way it is,” Death said. “That’s what I do.”
The man hurried to warn everyone he could about Death’s plan.
As evening fell, he met Death again. “You told me you were going to take 100 people,” the man said. “Why did 1,000 people die?”
“I kept my word.” Death responded. “I only took 100 people. Worry took the others.” http://www.christian-jokes.net/ “WHY DO I WORRY?” Amazon/Kindle (Part One)
Therefore, if you are worrying, do not harm yourself, it will not bring closure. God has a plan for you. Jesus said, “My peace, I leave with you.” Why? Because He knew our condition. Jesus lived in this world and knew that, worry, anxiety, fear, sadness, hopelessness and frustration are factors we must contend with. But, He offered us peace, not like the peace as the world knows it but peace in the midst of confusion. In many instances, we do not base our decisions on the whole picture.” “WHY DO I WORRY?” M M Kirschbaum Amazon/Kindle (Part One)
