The past few weeks appear like a year. I went through, affliction by fire”. It was my Red-sea situation – so much was happening so fast. I seek the LORD for 10 days and did not know what and how things would work out. Though, I felt something was bearing down, never did I expect it the way it came. God is great! He gave me hope, made me fearless in the face of ridicule and extreme confusion. God is God indeed! Without doubt, I held on to the promises of God that, He would not abandon those who serve Him. I realized that adversity does make us stronger and better in dealing with the issues of life. Yes, there can be no victory in life if there is no challenge or battle. This is a battle that refines us and makes us stronger. I give God all the glory, honor, adoration and victory. In the next few days, we shall explore the reasons for adversities, why we have adversity and the strength of getting through it.
Now, here is my personal prayer for you:
“Father, I join this reader in giving thanks to you. Together, we are using Mathew chapter 18, verse18, that: “Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Therefore, we are not going to run in adversity but hide under the shadow of the LORD’s wings. I can tell you this: place your trust not in man or princes but in the LORD and he will send His angels to lift you up lest you dash your feet against a stone. Please, if you or your family is going through turbulence or adversity try and do not blame each other. This is a challenge because adversities do not send and invitation card or request and appointment before arriving in your life and that of your family. Suddenly, your comfort zone is hot as fire and all your choices ablaze. Yes, this is the time we are most vulnerable and humbled. It is also the time to fall at the mercy of God, which endures forever. Whatever the case, life is a continuous battle but the LORD will teach your hands to war and when the enemies come; He will lift a banner for you. God is a consuming fire, never failing, the Alpha and the Omega – let us give Him all the glory again and again!
Let us pray:
LORD, hasten my request, based on: “Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you; for every one that asked received; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh, It shall be opened”
My God, I believe you will accomplish your goodness in my life and not put me to shame in the name of Jesus.
“Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders? There is none like You. All men are dust and the nations are like a drop of water – let your name be glorified in the name of Jesus – amen.
